How to install VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7

In this article, I will show you How to install VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7. vSphere 6.7 is the efficient and secure platform for hybrid clouds, fueling digital transformation by delivering simple and efficient management at scale, comprehensive built-in security, a universal application platform, and seamless hybrid cloud experience.

STEP 1

You can download the ISO for VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7 from the link below:

https://www.vmware.com/go/get-free-esxi

(You will need to sign-up or use your existing account to log in to the link above)

STEP 2

You will have to create a bootable USB using the ISO above. I would recommend using RUFUS Tool to create a bootable USB.

You can download the latest release (3.1) of Rufus software from their website http://rufus.akeo.ie/

Let’s run the EXE and you will see the screen below as soon as it launches. please notice the things highlighted as you will need to configure them to proceed further with bootable USB.

As soon as you hit Start after selecting the ISO for VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7 and selecting the USB Drive the one you wish to make bootable. It will prompt you with a warning saying it will wipe all the data present on the selected USB drive. (Please check the contents before you hit Yes) and once done you have the bootable USB drive in hand. Now let’s move to 3rd Step of installing VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7.

STEP 3

Let’s get it going. In my case, I am using VMware Workstation Pro for a demo however, you guys can plug the USB drive to your server and boot up the server via USB.
